Twelve days. Three rent notices. Every shift on the board costs more than the hours it takes.

Mara has a jar with $80 in it, a body that runs out faster than the days do, and a landlord who does not care about either. Every morning there is another notice on the mat.

The ladder is the game. Twenty shifts across four tiers, each one a kind of work she can actually get. The diner counter, the laundry, the call centre, the late rounds, and the work that pays in something other than hours. Every card on the board says what a shift needs, what it pays, what it does to her body and how far down it sits, so nothing is hidden and nothing is free. A shift is played out as a chain of beats, and there are six kinds of them: hit the window as the marker crosses, keep the needle inside a drifting band, answer the list before the clock eats it, or three answers with no time to think.

Corruption is not a health bar. The deeper the week gets, the more often a shift offers a shortcut in the middle of the work. Take it and the shift closes well and charges you something the game never itemises; refuse it and you finish worse as a worker, which is exactly what makes the next shortcut look reasonable. The week rarely kills her. It wears her.

Ten endings, and none of them is a score screen. Whatever the twelve days came to, you get a paragraph about what it did to her: not a good ending and a bad one, but the one the week earned.

  • 20 jobs, 4 tiers, and 80 written outcomes to a single shift
  • six minigames, twelve days, three rent notices
  • three save slots, so a week can be lived three ways
  • keyboard, mouse or a finger. It plays from the menu to an ending on a phone

Controls. Click or tap everything. Space or Enter advances, 1-4 takes a card, Esc pauses, or tap the on-screen PAUSE chip, which opens the same screen. Landscape on a phone.

Content. 18+: the art follows the ladder, so she is dressed at the top of it and not at the bottom, and the game is about what that costs rather than about showing it off. No explicit sex. The pictures are AI-generated from written prompts and then cut out and fitted by hand, which is disclosed on this page.

Made in Godot 4.5. In development: one twelve-day week is playable start to finish, and more jobs, more evenings and more endings are the plan. Right now the explicit content is minimal. More is coming, and there will eventually be a paid tier.
